Syed Bilal Qutab is a Sufi scholar, public speaker, and renowned television host who was previously associated with Samaa TV for many years. Nowadays, he appears on Aik News, where he hosts a show in which he discusses social issues with reference to Islamic teachings.

Recently, a clip from Syed Bilal Qutab’s show has been making rounds on social media. In the clip, he advised a married woman in an abusive marriage not to leave her husband.

In response to the caller’s question, “My husband gets angry very quickly. He starts abusing me and uses abusive language toward me. I have been living at my father’s house for six months. What should I do?” he replied, “What you are doing is very wrong. You should not make any hasty decision. In my opinion, you should go back to your husband and recite Ayat-e-Karima.” Watch here:
Tamkenat Mansoor, a renowned digital creator and actor, shared the video on her Instagram story and demanded a ban on Syed Bilal Qutab. She also tagged government social media accounts, including the official page of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. Tamkenat wrote, “Why are these people allowed to be on TV and give such advice to vulnerable people? Why has this show not been taken down despite so many problematic things being pointed out for such a long time? Why do these people still appear on these shows?
