Tarannum Naz is a legendary Pakistani ghazal and classical singer, celebrated for her powerful vocals and hit classical PTV songs. She is a formally trained classical singer who was mentored by Ustad Ashiq Hussain and is admired for her iconic resemblance with her teacher and legendary singer Madam Noor Jehan. The senior artist has also received the prestigious Pride of Performance award. Nowadays, Tarannum Naz has stepped away from singing and was recently seen on Zabardast after a very long time.

In the show Zabardast, hosted by Wasi Shah, Tarannum Naz expressed regret over transferring her home to her children.


Talking about it, Tarannum Naz said, “I built my house with my hard-earned money and then transferred its ownership to my children. They were too young, and I also thought that why would they be greedy about the house, and that their property is my property. But when they grew up and got married, they started demanding their share of the inheritance, which I obviously had to give. This is my regret—that I should not have given them their share during my lifetime. I live with them, and they do take care of me, but the reality is that parents’ stature is different when they own property. When the house belonged to them, I realized my mistake. When my children grew up, they wanted their own share in the inheritance.” Watch here:
