Tauqeer Nasir is a veteran actor of Pakistan. He started his career on PTV and he has been a part of some of the biggest classics that Pakistan has ever produced. He was a guest on Hina Niazi’s show and spoke about his career, experiences and what has changed in showbiz over the years.
Tauqeer Nasir shared that he thinks old stars and actors were better because they cared more about their work. It was not just about vanity. There used to be proper characterization. You could tell a character’s story and arc from the look they put on. Nowadays everyone is worried about looking pretty. A woman who is shown working in her kitchen will be seen in full makeup.

Tauqeer Nasir also agreed with the assessment that young actors have become disrespectful of their seniors. He revealed that back in the day they used to stand up for their seniors. There was also mutual respect among new actors and established stars. Nowadays that respect has gone missing. He shared how he used to stand up for Qavi Khan Sahab and it was just respect and not fear. That is missing now from the younger generation of actors.

Tauqeer Nasir also said that we still have a lot of great talent today. Sajal Aly and Hania Aamir are two very talented actresses. What they lack in their careers are good directors. Directors nowadays are more focused on the screens. They will not really groom the actor or teach them. This has affected the career graphs and filmography of such talented actresses.
