Umar Shareef is a renowned Pakistani standup comedian. Besides this, he is an actor, producer, writer, composer, and poet as well. He is one of the most successful comedians of the sub-continent. He started his career as a stage actor and has starred in many popular comedy shows such as Bakra Qistoon Pay and Buddha Ghar Pe Hai. Many people have termed him as the ‘King of Comedy’ in South Asia.
In 1992, he has received National awards for Best Director, and Best Actor for Mr. 420. He has received ten Nigar Awards, he is the only one to receive four Nigar Awards in a single year. He has also received three Graduate Awards and four national awards. He was also awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.
He started his welfare trust named Omer Sharif Welfare Trust with the goal of creating a “state of the art health center that provides services free of cost.”
Umar Shareef was recently spotted at gathering with his wife. In a video released recently, he couldn’t walk properly. In the comments section, people were curious and most of them felt like the living legend is seriously ill.
