Ushna Shah is strong, talented, opinionated and a woman who is not scared of calling a spade a spade. She always shares her thoughts on the current affairs and political problems on a global scale and also criticizes what she thinks is wrong in her own industry. Ushna is one of the top leading ladies in dramas and she has given some mega performances in dramas like Alif, Allah Aur Insaan and Balaa. She will now be a part of upcoming film Chikkar where she once again picked a content oriented role.
Ushna was a guest on Maliha Rehman’s channel and talked to her about her beliefs, life and work in detail. She also revealed one thing that she wants to change about our dramas ASAP. Ushna said that saving one’s home i.e. avoiding divorce is shown as the central theme of our dramas. She said that she is married herself and she prays that her marriage lasts till her last breath as working on a marriage is necessary but that should not be shown as a central idea.
She revealed that her own mother was divorced and she worked 3 jobs to raise her and her sisters. She did everything in her power to give her children a good life. Thus being a divorcee should not be shown as a negative thing. She added that marriages are important but they do not make a woman.
