Usman Mukhtar is a tremendous Pakistani television actor and a film maker. His notable Pakistani dramas are Anaa, Sabaat, Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay and Sinf E Ahan. His popular films are Janaan, Parchi and Umro Ayyar. Fans are currently praising his acting in Hum TV’s famous drama serial Jafaa. His character Dr. Numair has become the talk of the town after he took his newly born baby to the hospital for a DNA test.
The Jafaa sequence where Dr Numair, played by Usman Mukhtar, took his child to a DNA sparked a controversy and the fans started discussing it on the digital and social media platforms. The actor also read all the feedback comments and came up with his side of story.
Usman Mukhtar defended Dr. Numair’s odd behaviour. He wrote, “Numair’s journey may not be perfect, and he’s certainly not handling things well, but imagine how this news might hit someone who believed he was infertile for most of his adult life.”
He also defended Andaleeb’s character where she reacted to Numair and also shared his wife’s stance about it. His Instagram post says, “Andaleeb’s reaction is completely justified. She feels unsettled by Numair’s responses, which are likely unpredictable or contradictory, leaving her both confused and frustrated. Now that she’s heard Numair asking for a DNA test, like my wife, Zunaira, said, ‘If I were in her place, I would’ve broken your face!”
He further added that he chose Jafaa script because it addresses the issues of the society that are often stigmatized or overlooked like domestic violence and infertility.
