Pamaal is a popular Green Entertainment prime-time drama serial written by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and directed by Khizer Idrees. It is produced by Tehreem Chaudhary. The story revolves around a writer named Malika, who has lived a tough life both before and after marriage and is currently going through a financial crisis amid her husband’s illness.

Khizer Idrees is the talented director behind Pamaal. He is garnering huge praise, and recently, he was invited by Fuchsia Magazine, where he talked about the romance in Pamaal. He further revealed that Usman Mukhtar was reluctant to perform romantic scenes on screen.

Talking about it, the Pamaal director said, “There were a few romantic scenes in the drama that Usman refused to do, saying, ‘I can’t do it, it will be difficult for me to perform such scenes, please change it.’ After that, we pushed him to perform those scenes, and he did them well. However, whenever such scenes came up, he felt reluctant. Usman Mukhtar used to say, ‘I salute those actors who do romance on screen; it is difficult.’”




The director also said that he shot believable scenes between a married couple, which the audience could relate to. He further admitted that he improvised the hospital scene as well because it needed to show the emotions of the characters after their temporary separation and fight. Watch here:
