In an unfortunate turn of events, veteran comedian Amanullah passed away in Lahore last night. According to Amanullah’s family, the comedian had been admitted in the hospital on 3rd March once again.
Amanullah had been suffering from lung and kidney diseases for quite some time now. The comedian had earlier been admitted to a hospital but was released later.
Having been in and out of hospital for multiple medical issues, Amanullah’s family had earlier requested prayers and the comedian had been on the ventilator.
The 70 year old actor was born in Gujranwala in 1950. Amanullah was one of the best stage comedians in Pakistan. His first stage performance was “One Man Comedy Show” at a local theatre in Lahore in which he performed mimicry of famous celebrities. Amanullah’s most popular stage plays are Basheera in Trouble” and “Landa Bazaar”. The veteran comedian, over a career spanning 40 years worked in about 40 stage plays.
