He is a frontrunner in the revival of Pakistani cinema and he has been the force behind films like Karachi Se Lahore, Lahore Se Aagay, Chalawa and Parde Mein Rehne Do. He has also been a force behind dramas like Raqs e Bismil, Hadsa and Guru. He is friends with many big names in the industry and many actors are seen hanging out with him. His wife Shazia Wajahat is also a successful producer and their sons are actor and musicians.
