Pakistan emerged as a beautiful travel destination in 2018 after notable foreign travellers like Mark Wiens, Trevor James, and others visited the country. It became a center of attention for foreign travellers because of its affordable services, food, travel, and unmatched hospitality. Over the years, Pakistan has become a go-to destination for travellers from across the globe who admire Pakistanis’ friendly and honest nature, where they are rarely scammed and are often offered food and free services. Foreign travellers also frequently show generosity toward locals.

Recently, a foreign couple paid off the debt of a poor family in Kasur who had reportedly been trapped in bonded labour for 130 years after their grandfather took a hefty loan, which compelled generations of the family to work without pay for years.

The indebted family used to make bricks without wages in an attempt to repay an endless debt and had been working under harsh conditions for generations. Emotional scenes were witnessed when a poor woman hugged the man who generously paid off her family’s debt. The act was widely praised on social media, where many users said it was shameful that such a humanitarian act was carried out by a non-Muslim Western couple instead of members of a Muslim society.
