In another heartbreaking and unfortunate incident in Pakistan, Westminster International School in Bahria Town, Rawalpindi (Phase 7) is facing severe public backlash after a minor’s rape allegedly happened there yesterday. Allegedly, a three-year-old minor studying at the school was physically and sexually assaulted by a sweeper.
The school management has reportedly been covering up the incident. According to the authorities, the security cameras at the location were not functional on that day. However, parents and students have been strongly protesting against the alleged assault of the little girl.
The school principal has been issuing statements to downplay the matter while being questioned by students who firmly believe that the sweeper committed the crime against the minor, which is being covered up. The students are of the view that they have reported the behaviour of the sweeper multiple times. They also complained that the management hasn’t fire him and is hiding the matter. Besides this, social media users are of the view that Westminster International School has been hiding the matter and that their PR team has been activated, saying that nothing of this sort has even happened at the school in the first place. Besides this, they are also defending the sweeper who allegedly committed the crime, and the principal is of the view that she cannot start an investigation without evident proof. The principal is also saying that the mother of the girl has said that she hasn’t seen anything like that and that people shouldn’t involve her and her daughter’s names unnecessarily.
