Musarrat Nazir as born and bred in Lahore. Her parents wanted her to become a doctor but she ended up becoming a famous artist. She graduated from Kinnaird College and she started her career in films and music. She won hearts with her screen presence and her beautiful and melodious voice. Marriage & Moving Abroad
Musarrat Nazir got married to a doctor Arshad Majeed and the couple moved to Canada in 1965. She has since lived there. Her son Omar Majeed is a filmmaker. The family tried to move back to Lahore in the late 70s but then shifted back to Canada where she has lived with her family. Omar Majeed also lives in Canada with his wife and kids.
