Shahzad Nawaz is a talented Pakistani actor and a media person. He began his career with advertising. Shahzad Nawaz was part of many private channels and successfully began multiple channels including Nai Baat. Shahzad also produced a feature film Chambelli in collaboration with Abdullah Kadwani. He made an appearance in Coke Studio as a voice over artist for the songs. Lately, the actor grabbed the spotlight after appearing in the hit Pakistani drama serial Mein. Shahzad Nawaz played the character of Mr. Asif which was loved by the audiences. His second popular drama was Let’s Try Mohabbat.
Lately, the actor made an appearance in Faysal Quraishi’s newly started podcast, Pressure Buhat Hey. In the podcast, he opened up about his comparison with Ranbir Kapoor.
To Faysal Quraishi’s question, “Why didn’t fans call him a Pakistani Shahzad Nawaz instead of saying he’s an older Ranbir Kapoor?” Shahzad Nawaz replied, “I agree that people should not compare anyone like that. My fans also spoke out a lot on this comparison. I am lucky to have such vocal fans, even though they are few in number. I felt the same way. People in Pakistan get happy with such comparisons, but I got angry at this one. I mean, instead of writing that I he is a younger Shahzad Nawaz, they wrote that I’m an older Ranbir Kapoor. It isn’t biologically correct because I was born before him. The same thing applies to big Pakistani businessmen; they love to be called the ‘Pakistani Bill Gates’ and feel good about it. We need to make our names bigger and better and should be proud of it”
