Yasin Malik is a Kashmiri Hurriyat leader who was born on April 3, 1966. The Kashmiri leader has been fighting for the freedom of Indian-occupied Kashmir since his early youth and has devoted his life to the Kashmiri people’s struggle for independence. He has been imprisoned by the Indian government for many years.
Yasin Malik married Pakistani activist and political figure Mushaal Hussein Mullick in 2009, and they have a daughter together. Mushaal lives in Pakistan, while Yasin Malik is imprisoned in Tihar Jail in India.
Now, after many years of imprisonment, Yasin Malik has made an emotional decision regarding his married life.
According to a message circulating in the media, Yasin Malik said, “I can accept death for Kashmir’s freedom.” In a Srinagar court, he reportedly submitted a written affidavit stating, “I do not expect justice from Indian courts. If I am given a death sentence, I accept it, but that does not mean I will accept crimes that I have not committed.” In the affidavit, he said that he was stepping back from fighting his case and wrote, “I leave my matter to Allah.” He also claimed that the government had decided to sentence him to death in a false case. In messages to his wife, Yasin Malik reportedly said, “I release you from my life.
