Yasir Alam is a popular Pakistani actor who recently gained immense fame after appearing on the ARY Digital reality show Tamasha, which is one of Pakistan’s biggest reality shows. Initially, Yasir was a silent player who was in an alliance with Zaib Khan, one of the top contestants. Unfortunately, Zaib was evicted, but Yasir Alam earned his spot in the finals by winning tasks.
Recently, Yasir Alam has been serving as the Wazir of the Tamasha house and faces multiple challenges, including managing household duties and responsibilities. While assigning duties to the Tamasha contestants, Yasir Alam used a Hindi word in his speech, which landed him in trouble.
When addressing the Tamasha housemates, Yasir Alam asked if everyone agreed with him if he assigns the breakfast duty to Esra as she cooks well” . However, he used the Hindi word “Sahmat” in his speech which means agreed or in agreement instead of the standard urdu alternative word, “Ittefaq”. First watch the video here:
Social media users are criticizing Yasir Alam for using Hindi so casually in Tamasha. Many are saying that other contestants like Esra, Fasih and Hassan have also been using words like “shant” so casually in Tamasha 5, as if they are part of Urdu language. One wrote, “Why is he saying ‘sehmat’? Is he a Hindu?” Another wrote, “He doesn’t even know Urdu.” One said, “Is ‘sehmat’ a new word invented by his mother?” Read the comments here:
