Yasir talked about the debate around item songs in films. He said that many people say that item songs are not a part of our culture but item songs used to be in old Urdu and Punjabi movies. Madam Noor Jehan has sung many such songs which were picturized in films. He added that many of our films now have item songs, so these songs have been a part of films since Pakistan came into being or even before that. He also suggested that many old stars could have done them in films.
We have seen many starlets including Mehwish Hayat, Ayesha Omar, Aamna Ilyas and Sadaf Kanwal perform item songs in films which created a lot of debate as well.

He also talked about bans on different shows in Pakistan. He said that no show or theatre play should be banned. Even the plays with those dances should be allowed as they are still being done, hidden from the government. People should be given the choice to choose what they want to watch.
