Bilal Saeed has released a video in which he has sincerely apologized over the controversial mosque video.
He uploaded a video and captioned, “We realize what has happened over the past few days has hurt your sentiments deeply. We as Muslims, as decent human beings and as artists will never, ever trivialize or condone disrespect to Islam or any other religion, race, caste, colour or creed. If we have unknowingly hurt anyone’s sentiments we apologise to you all with all our heart. Please find the video below as a sincere apology from myself, Saba Qamar and the rest of the team.”
In his video message, he clarified and said, “Recently we shot a Nikkah sequence in Wazir Khan mosque which created a big misunderstanding and many people got hurt. People got the impression that we danced in the mosque, played songs and disrespected the mosque. I am a Muslim who has been brought up in a Muslim family. I can’t even think about doing this. We didn’t play any music or dance, and the people who were present there can vouch for it.”
Bilal Saeed further added, “There is a single video which is going viral and the story is that every now and then we see photoshoots in mosques. We did that and we didn’t play any music or never danced. However, we realize that we did a mistake and we are humans and humans make mistakes. We apologize from everyone. I am also removing the whole Wazir Khan mosque sequence from the video.”
