Lately Sheema Kermani took to her social media account and shared her views regarding Ali Zafar being awarded Pride Of Performance. “So angry and so sad. What a pathetic day this 23rd March 2021 turns out! Hear the news that the Pakistani state and government gives the award of Pride of Performance to a man who has been accused by multiple women of Pakistan for sexual harassment”, wrote Sheema.
Sheema further added “By doing this what message does the state of Pakistan give us – that they support such men and consider sexual harassers as role models for the men of this country. And they do not stand with us women, they do not believe us when we speak out against abuse and sexual violation, they do not consider sexual crimes and sexual misconduct as a serious offense against womankind/humankind! I hang my head in shame! Meesha Shafi needs justice. No more misogyny, no more, we have had enough!”
