Pakistani film industry has been growing a lot in the past few years and the year 2022 after the pandemic has fully ended became a huge year for Pakistani cinema, not only for content that came out but also financially as many films made good money on the box office and ruled hearts of the nation. Many big films that were stuck for years for one reason or another finally released making and breaking some records worldwide.
Here is a list of films that ended up making great money and putting big smiles on the audience’s faces:
1. The Legend of Maula Jatt:
The Legend of Maula Jatt is not jus the biggest film of the year but also the biggest film in the history of Pakistani cinema. The movie has grossed 200 crores on the box office worldwide and it is still not slowing down any time soon.
2. London Nahi Jaunga:
Humayun Saeed starrer London Nahi Jaunga grossed 52 crores on the box office and was a welcome hit after the pandemic.
3. Quaid e Azam Zindabad:
Fahad Mustafa is back with a bang and his film with super star Mahira Khan was well-received on the silver screens with the film grossing over 42 crores.
4. Ghabrana Nahi Hai:
Saba Qamar had a a golden year with 2022 as she had a film like Kamli doing well on the box office and her masala film Ghabrana Nahi Hai grossed over 16 crores.
5. Tich Button:
Farhan Saeed, Iman Aly, Sonya Hussyn and Feroze Khan starrer Tich Button finally released after getting delayed due to pandemic and has managed to gross 15 crores on the box office.
