Today, Pakistanis are celebrating Independence day with great enthusiasm, zeal and zest. Pakistan came into being on the 14th of August 1947 under the great leadership of Pakistani leader and founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This year marks Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day. Independence Day celebrations began at midnight, with multiple buildings lit up with lights. The flags were hoisted on the buildings, houses and streets. Pakistanis also exchanged warm wishes with their friends and family members and also took part in fireworks.
Pakistani celebrities also got enthusiasm and excited for the independence day. Many models, actors , sports persons and singers took to their social media handles to congratulate the nation. A few gave thoughtful messages on the special day too. Many were vocal about the political, economic and social unrest in the country but they still wholeheartedly wished Independence Day.
