So, our very own Boom Boom announced his retirement once again. Pakistan’s all-rounder Shahid Afridi has announced his retirement from international cricket, ending an illustrious and controversial 21-year career. The 36-year-old cricketer had already quit Tests in 2010 and ODI cricket after the 2015 World Cup but played for T20 at the 2016 world championships in India.
“I have said goodbye to international cricket. I am playing for my fans and will continue to play this league for another two years but it’s goodbye from international cricket. Now my foundation is important for me. I have played with seriousness and in a professional way for my country,” said Shahid Afridi after smashing a 28-ball 54 in a PSL match for Peshawar Zalmi in Sharjah.
The legendary star, has retired time and again but returned again. Shahid’s fans might be sad over this recent news but people on social media didn’t fall for his statement and wondered if he’ll be back again.
Somewhere between Shahid afridi retiring from cricket and Shahid afridi retiring from cricket we all grew up! #shahidafridi
