Ahmad Ali Butt Appalled Seeing Indians as Pakistanis in Netflix shows

Since the big OTT platforms like Netflix took over, the world can rightly be called globally affixed as fans across the world connect via popular shows which become talk of the town through OTT platforms due to their popularity.

The latest is Netflix’s super hit series ‘Squid Game’ , the series is gaining worldwide praise and a Pakistani character, Ali Abdul, played by Anupam Tripathi is winning hearts of the people across the world. Tripathi is born in India but moved to Korea in 2010, lately, he has been earning much praise for his act in the K-Drama Squid Games.

Actor, host & comedian Ahmed Ali Butt seems unhappy with Indian actors essaying the characters of Pakistanis in the famous international shows. He said that it’s frustrating to see Indians playing Pakistani characters. He further said that why can’t they cast original Pakistani artists for the shows.

Ahmad Ali Butt also raised the point that the films that are based on Pakistani cities should be shot in various original locations in Pakistan and not on sets and on artificial locations, he proposed the government to launch new progressive film policies to give the productions a chance.
