Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi are two big names of Pakistani entertainment industry. They were both engaged in a legal battle after Meesha accused Ali of sexual harassment. Their case dragged on for nearly a decade and a final verdict was announced in the defamation case which Ali filed against Meesha. Meesha lost and she has been directed to pay 5 million PKR to Ali.
Ali has been answering about this case for years now while Meesha has also been through the ringer. The case was decided by Pakistani courts and both sides have shared their opinions on it. Ali Zafar’s father-in-law was also his advocate in this case and he has shared his thoughts on everything that went down.
Ali Sabtain Fazli is Ali Zafar’s lawyer as well as his father-in-law. He spoke to 24 News and shared that they have been fighting this case for years now. He has shared all evidences in court. He added that Meesha Shafi filed 41 cases parallel to the main one which they were able to afford as he himself was a lawyer and Ali did not have to pay legal fee. He added that this verdict has restored Ali’s reputation who had lost everything when this case came out.
