Retired Col Qasim Shah is a renowned Pakistani celebrity who became popular after appearing in PTV classics like Sunehrey Din and Alpha Bravo Charlie, where he played the role of army officer Gulsher. Fans admired his acting and on-screen presence in both shows. Nowadays, he is enjoying his retired life with his family and friends. Qasim Shah often appears on television and talks about his personal moments.
Recently, in the show Zabardast hosted by Wasi Shah, he shared his regrets regarding his parents.
Talking about his mother, Qasim Shah said, “About two occasions, I felt the most regret. One is I was once sitting with my mother; I was scrolling on my mobile, and she sat there with me for around 15 minutes while talking to me. I was less responsive towards her and more attentive towards my phone, like we all do, so she said, ‘You don’t want to talk to me. I don’t know how many of my days are left.’ To which I said, ‘Mother, you are always sentimental; you aren’t going anywhere.’ Twenty days later, she passed away. It was a regret. If I knew this, I would have broken it. Enjoy family, parent, and sibling gatherings.”
He further added, “I was going to Pano Aqil for an event. While I was leaving for there, she asked me, ‘For how many days are you going?’ To which I replied, ‘For two days.’ She was shocked as if two days were a longer period of time, and yes, it was, because when I came back, she passed away.”
He further added, “I regret misbehaving with my father whenhew was severely sick, so, I newly got married when my father asked me to take him to Islamabad along with me and my wife, to which I harshly spoke to him, saying, “There is no question of you going with me on this road trip.
