Soon after her wedding date was fixed, she shared a post claiming that she was facing harassment from her ex, PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar. Following this, both parties came forward in the media and hurled serious allegations against each other. Although the matter is currently in court, both parties continue to appear on podcasts, presenting evidence and making claims about the case.
In today’s podcast with Rehan Tariq, Momina Iqbal disclosed what she said was the reality behind the settlement offers allegedly made by Saqib Chadhar, who has claimed that Momina Iqbal and her husband demanded a hefty amount as part of a settlement.
Momina Iqbal said, “They tried so hard to reach a settlement. We were blackmailed and pressured to end this. As you know, he claimed that we got silent after taking money. Yes, high-profile people from the sitting government called me and offered me money, but this man Saqib has no money. They are just claiming that we demanded money or that they gave us money, but it was never like that because I was not agreeing to make a peace deal. They urged us to end it, saying that we should end this for the sake of our past relationship. All the lawyers sat together, although I wasn’t part of it. My sister also received a message asking us to end this because, according to him, the matter was being ridiculed in public. She didn’t reply. If we are that bad, then why did you text my sister and pressure us? The demand for my peace deal was for Saqib Chadhar to speak the truth publicly. Initially, he agreed to send an apology video and asked me not to give a statement in court, but then he refused, saying that we would be disgraced in public.
