Talking about it, Amina Sheikh said, “I have revealed all the reasons behind quitting acting. I went through a major transition in my personal life. Yes, divorce was a major reason — my marriage didn’t work out. I had a baby in my arms and needed time to recover from everything. I also had opportunities abroad; I am a U.S. citizen, my daughter is a citizen, and my family was already settled there, so moving to the U.S. was a convenient option. My personal life was deeply connected to the media industry, which is why I needed a complete break from it. So much drama and toxicity were happening around me that I couldn’t process. I had to protect my baby while nursing her, so I went to the U.S. for a while. My family supported me immensely — they helped me restructure my thoughts and realize that I had lost so much time, and it was time to take action and rebuild myself. With their support, I found my own space. Later, I moved to Dubai, where I was introduced to Umer. Our families were involved, and things went smoothly. It was my parents’ guidance and involvement that made it an intentional and practical decision — not an impulsive one.”

Talking about keeping her family private, Amina Sheikh said, “I don’t want to expose my family for my own instant gratification or social media kick. Because of the nature of my career, I’m not just another mom proudly posting about her child. I come from a different realm — my audience isn’t just fellow school mothers; there’s a whole drama attached, and people know my journey. My path has been very different from other mothers, and that’s fine — they have their own lives. But I choose not to post about my child. I also don’t have any private social media handles. It’s risky, and I’m simply not inclined toward that.”
