The photo went insanely viral across the world, making him an overnight sensation. The photographer who made the picture viral said that she was stunned by Chaiwala’s extraordinary looks and requested to feature him in her photograph. Today, Arshad Khan is one of the successful Pakistani businessmen with his own chain of tea cafés.
A few months ago, Arshad Khan Chaiwala’s ID card was blocked by NADRA for reportedly holding Afghani nationality. Recently, his lawyer clarified that NADRA admitted their mistake and restored his Pakistani nationality.
Talking to the media about Arshad Khan Chaiwala’s nationality case, his lawyer said, “Arshad Khan’s Pakistani identity card has been unblocked, which is good news for all Pakistanis especially the youth. We had provided all necessary documents when the issue first arose. We requested NADRA to follow the legal procedures. Arshad himself appeared in court, where the documents of him and his family were verified. NADRA accepted their mistake and restored his ID card.”
