Ayub Khoso is a senior Pakistani television and film actor who hails from Balochistan. He was born to a Pakhtoon mother and a Baloch father. Ayub Khoso is a proud Baloch who has served the Pakistani media industry for around four decades. His notable dramas include Aahan, Bhanwar, Chaahon, Zanjeer, Dasht, Rhubaru Ishq Tha, Khuda Zamin Say Gaya Nahi Hai, Irtiqa, Shantul, Sukhaan, Sumbul, Nakhuda, Mitti, Sassi, Sadori, Dushman, and Sham Se Pehle. He has also appeared in the hit Pakistani film Khuda Kay Liye. Currently, Ayub Khoso is away from acting and mainstream media, although he occasionally gives interviews on television channels.
Ayub Khoso recently appeared on Zabardast, hosted by Wasi Shah. During the show, he opened up about performing romantic scenes on camera with Atiqa Odho in their drama serial Dasht back in the early 1990s.
Talking about it, Ayub Khoso said, “We were doing a drama series, Dasht, with an ensemble cast, in which I played a rough and tough tribal character. Because of my get-up, people think I am tough. I remember there was a romantic scene with Atiqa Odho in Dasht, and I felt great difficulty while filming it. We Balochs have a different concept of romance. However, Tariq Meraj’s concept of romance was deep and poetic. He wanted us to praise the beauty of a woman, which was quite difficult for me. He wanted us to hold the actress’s hand and praise it. We used to beg him not to shoot such scenes. So yes, I am a very dry person in real life.” Here is the link to the video:
