I have always been possessive and have clearly stated that I do not accept such things. However, since Islam allows it, I cannot object religiously—but I will choose to leave. It is a woman’s choice whether she can bear her husband’s second marriage or not, and I cannot. I have already warned my husband and in-laws that if, despite everything, a man looks outside, then what is the value of the woman with him? A man looks best with one woman; he does not look good with multiple women. Of course, if he can truly do justice, he may marry again—but in most second marriages, men forget their first wives, make them feel inferior, and gaslight them by saying they were never loved.
