Pakistan Idol is a Pakistani musical reality show which has recently started airing on Geo TV, PTV, and Green Entertainment. This marks the second season of Pakistan Idol, which has already stirred controversy due to its judges’ panel. Fawad Khan, one of the judges, is facing criticism for evaluating talented singers despite being considered to have relatively weak vocals himself. Moreover, several renowned artists, including Sajjad Ali, Humaira Arshad, and Malku, have voiced their disapproval, calling the show substandard and low-budget, and suggesting that it needs improvement in both its judging panel and song selection. On the other hand, a few artists such as Sahir Ali Bagga and Falak Shabir have come forward to support the show.
Recently, Falak Shabir’s stance on Pakistan Idol won hearts as he gave contestants permission to perform all of his songs.
Taking to Instagram, Falak Shabir wrote, “I am giving Pakistan Idol full permission to use all my songs to support aspiring talent and help them showcase our country’s talent on a global scale. I fully support the judges of Pakistan Idol and all the talented participants.”
Falak Shabir’s gesture is being widely praised by music lovers, with fans lauding his generosity.
