Although it highlights the crass mindset of our society, it won’t be incorrect to say that Syra and Shahroz’s separation is perhaps the most discussed topic in Pakistan since three days. And even after Shahroz Sabzwari has come out and given a statement, urging media houses and people to spare them and honor their privacy in their personal matter, nobody seems to care enough to do so.
And while everybody is commenting on the issue, fellow actress Fatima Effendi too, lent her two cents on the entire matter. But the woman, happily married, with two kids herself, spoke sense and tried to knock some in the society as well.
Urging people to let Syra and Shahroz get through their personal and painful process themselves and to honor their privacy, Fatima highlighted the double face of this society that never lets a married couple live in peace. The gist of Fatima’s message threw light on how the society first pressurized a married couple to have a child and then point out that it was important to know your spouse first before plunging into the decision of having a child.
And rightfully so, what Fatima said makes 100% sense as our society loves to poke its nose in people’s personal matters and if they are celebrities, the audience and the media considers it their right to interfere and sensationalize their personal affairs, whether it is as painful as a separation or a divorce.
On her personal front, Fatima Effendi, is married to actor Kanwar Arsalan since 7 years herself and parents two adorable sons, Almir and Mahbir.
