Faysal Quraishi is a seasoned Pakistani TV & film actor and host. His hit television appearances include Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Bashar Momin, Muqaddar, Khaie, Haiwaan, Farq, Hook, Behroopia, Bheegi Palkain, and Fitoor. Recently, Faysal Quraishi expressed his disappointment on not getting Sitara e Imtiaz in a podcast with Shahzad Nawaz for NJ Spotlight.
Replying to the question about not getting Sitara e Imtiaz, Faysal Quraishi said, “I am thinking of going to the Imtiaz store as a protest and announcing that I am standing in Imtiaz, but I still haven’t received any Sitara. I hope I will get one from the Imtiaz store? What else can I say about it? They have sent my name back twice. It’s been 33 years that I’ve been in the field, and I don’t know who gets Sitara-e-Imtiaz. I think I’m deficient in calcium—that’s why they aren’t giving me the award. I have questioned myself on not getting the presidential award, and people have emailed them about me not receiving it. I don’t know why—I’m not even political. Yes, I am a patriotic person. I will accept the award if I get it because I deserve it.” Watch here:
