I even suggested three actors to them, two were from theatre, but my suggestions weren’t considered because they wanted to sell their drama. They had other options from the industry, like me, so I agreed, knowing it would go to someone similar. I suggested various looks to them but then I realized that Parizaad’s issues were more internalized; yes, society mistreated him for his looks, but his core issues were internalized which were becoming a part of his personality. Asma Abbas comes from a very talented family. Though she took a two decade break after her marriage, Asma Abbas still managed to impress everyone when she came back on television. Asma has mostly played the characters of a mother on TV. She was asked by an audience member why there are no romantic stories for the older generation. Asma said that yes, more stories based on love at a mature age should be made but nowadays all dramas are love stories of youngsters.

She then also answered another qustion and said that she loves to play a widow on screen. Asma was very witty and said that heroes of her age are all old and feeble and suffering from health conditions at this point. Whenever she stars in a drama, she gets to know that some uncle has been cast opposite her. Thus she likes to play widow characters or characters where the husband dies early on in the story.
