Islam allows four marriages for a man in extreme circumstances. We have seen many Islamic scholars encouraging men to marry more than once and Mufti Tariq Masood is one of them. Mufti Tariq Masood is a learned scholar and he always gives researched advice on different questions with respect to Shariah. He also encourages multiple marriages for men as many Pakistani women are not able to find suitable proposals.

Mufti Sahab was a guest on Hafiz Ahmed’s podcast and shared some unknown facts about his life. He shared that managing multiple wives is one of the most difficult things he has done in his life. He revealed there are a lot of jealousies involved when there is more than one household and the man has to balance everything. He encourages marriages for women otherwise it is not an easy feat.

The struggle that started in 1857 culminated to its peak in the year 1947 when people of the sub-continent finally got independence. India and Pakistan both appeared on the world map and since then Pakistan has gone through many struggles. We lost Quaid e Azam a year after the country came into being. We have had a long list of tragedies from losing Fatima Jinnah, Madar e Millat, the separation of East Pakistan, multiple dictatorships, the never-ending hell that is the so-called war on terror and thousands of lives lost. But the country is still standing and the citizens are still resilient. Such is the spirit of pakistan and such is the spirit of Pakistanis.

Today as we celebrate the 76 years till Pakistan came into being and its 77th 14th August, we struggle economically, socially and politically but Pakistanis have the resolve to rise once again. They feel battered but still optimistic. The love of their country still remains tall and that is true for our celebrities as well. 76 years ago, Pakistan appeared on the map of the world after a long political and constitutional struggle of the Muslims of India. Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Muslims of the sub-continent gave countless sacrifices to achieve this homeland. PTV is the oldest channel in the country. There was a time that Pakistanis only had the national channel for entertainment as well as news. All the dramas used to air from PTV and it had the monopoly over all the work in the industry. This also explains the reverence old Pakistani actors and actresses still hold for their old channel. PTV at that time produced great gems and many of the dramas are still loved by the audience.

The channel, however, went through a nose dive as private channels came in and PTV just could not keep up with the demands of the viewers.
