Imran Ashraf plays the character of Ghulam, a doctor, while Zaviyar Nauman portrays Basha, an affluent landlord. Hina Afridi plays Sundri, a young girl who falls for Ghulam. The drama is directed by Amin Iqbal, who is grateful to fans for their overwhelming response.
Recently, Amin Iqbal opened up about the low ratings of Ghulam Bashah Sundri, despite it being the most-viewed Pakistani show on YouTube.
Talking about it, Amin Iqbal said, “Assalamu Alaikum, I’m Amin Iqbal, the director of Ghulam Bashah Sundri. There has been a debate on social media about why the TRPs are so low despite the drama having the most views. The system that measures TRPs is quite complicated. Ratings are recorded by advertising agencies, not TV channels. The TV agency has installed around 2,500 meter devices in selected households. These devices, similar to a remote control, track what those households watch, and their viewing determines the ratings. So, only 2,500 devices decide the ratings. The system should now be upgraded, and YouTube views should also be incorporated into ratings, as YouTube views are transparent and cannot be manipulated or changed.” Watch the video here:
