During her conversation with Nida, Nadia Jamil said, “I will be 54 this year. I am very proud of my age because I am grateful for this experience. I thank Allah that I made it to 50, as growing old itself is an achievement these days.”

She further added, “We are women who have learned to love ourselves, and we celebrate that journey together. Our relationship with ourselves is strong; we do not share a need-based relationship. I have a strong relationship with Allah. Except for Allah, I need no one—I say this as a mother too. May Allah grant our children good health, but they have their own independent lives. Our relationships should not be based on need—we need love, and only Allah can truly fulfill our needs. Yes, we have only one expectation, and that is to get respect from each other, and that is only possible when you love and respect yourself.”
