Recently, a Star Plus-like scene of the drama series Madaar is going viral. In the scene, the characters Samar and Zoha, played by Sumaiyya Baksh and Humayoun Ashraf, were having their nikah when a group of girls arrived to stop the ceremony, protesting that they would not allow the social media influencer to get married. They argued that she had always advocated for women’s financial independence and advised young women to refuse early marriage proposals, yet she was now doing the exact opposite by marrying a wealthy man. Because her actions contradicted her own preaching of financial independence, they declared they would not let the wedding take place. Many girls revealed they rejected appropriate proposals in the influence of the social media star. Watch here:
Social media users are trolling the scene with many saying that the makers have ruined a good drama by adding a Star Plus sequence. One wrote, “It was a pretty decent drama but they ended up ruining it by adding this overly dramatic sequence ” another wrote, “Please Green Entertainment, this is not the standard Pakistani drama” Another wrote, “I can’t stop myself from laughing after seeing this” One wrote, “they couldn’t not stop themselves from adding Star plus sequence into it” One wrote, “I haven’t seen anything like this happening in Pakistan as the trolling is only limited to social media” Read the comments:
