Recently, at a special event dedicated to Faysal Qureshi, Humayun Saeed revealed his mother’s liking for Faysal Quraishi’s acting craft.
Talking about it, Humayun Saeed said, “Faysal is such a fine actor that I should share this story today as this is the right time for it. My mother gave an interview fifteen or twenty years ago—maybe it was on Geo. She hardly ever agreed to come on TV, and she was a blunt lady who always spoke the truth. During the interview, she was asked, ‘Your son is doing great acting.’ To that, she replied, ‘No, my son isn’t a great actor; he just acts with a straight face. I like Faisal Qureshi more because he is a fine actor.’ Mothers always speak truth about their children but at that time, I didn’t like her statement because I was a new actor enjoying success. I thought she could have praised both of us, but it’s okay.
