Sana Yousaf was a 17-year-old Pakistani social media influencer and TikToker who gained popularity by creating humorous and cultural content celebrating her Upper Chitral heritage. On June 2, 2025, she was fatally shot inside her home in Sector G-13, Islamabad. A 22-year-old man, identified as Umar Hayat, murdered her and was recently given a death sentence along with life imprisonment in a recent court hearing related to Sana Yousaf’s murder case. Sana Yousaf’s parents thanked Pakistanis for their constant support throughout the process.
After winning the case, Sana Yousaf’s mother visited her village in Chitral, where she showed fans Sana Yousaf’s favorite house and the places where she loved to shoot videos. Not only this, but she also revealed that Sana planned to live her life in her village after becoming a doctor.
Her mother, Farzana Yousaf, said, “I am here in Chitral. I am at a place in Booni which was Sana’s favorite. It’s my mother’s place, and Sana loved it. She was fond of this house and shared multiple videos and reels from here that went viral. She even told me that she would reside here after becoming a doctor and treat people. This is our house, where she used to capture pictures. These almond trees, apple trees, and apricot trees were her favorites. We will also visit Sana’s grave today. She was so in love with this place, and we also have a guest house nearby. I love this place because it was my daughter’s favorite place. I remember her so much; she used to be happy here.
