Iqrar ul Hassan Syed is a former Pakistani anchor, host, and crime reporter, widely known for his investigative show Sar-e-Aam, and Ramzan transmissions such as Shaan-e-Ramzan, along with other live television programs. The former TV presenter has now entered politics and formed his party, Awam Raaj Tehreek, which is facing severe public backlash. The youth is not accepting his party due to his multiple instances of inappropriate public conduct, which mainly include spewing hate against Pakistan’s biggest political party, its leadership, and its supporters. He recently faced strong backlash when he created a scene at the airport with the staff.
Nowadays, Iqrar ul Hassan is working hard to reunite his party and convey his mandate to the youth, but it is not going in his favour. In his address, Iqrar ul Hassan is speaking to a few individuals in a hall filled mostly with empty chairs. He said, “Tell me the truth, have you ever thought of becoming the Prime Minister of Pakistan?” and the camera panned towards the chairs, showing that 80% of the hall was empty. Watch here:

Social media users are also making fun of Iqrar ul Hassan’s failed political campaign, with a few suggesting that he should take help from the establishment for crowd management, while others advised him to hire fake supporters by paying them.A few said he could not even match the efforts of Jawad Ahmed, who also failed as a politician but at least managed to build a narrative for some days.
