Talking about it, Javed Sheikh said, “In 2000, twenty-five years ago, Allah took everything from me. All my films flopped, and I had no work. People used to speak against me, and the whole studio turned against me. They used to say, “Javed Sheikh is finished; he should go back to Karachi. It was a time when I could have broken down and left everything. It was my bad phase—I could have fallen into depression. Waheed Murad also faced a rough patch, but he succumbed to depression, whereas I didn’t lose heart. I never stopped going to the studio. I would go, sit, and meet my friends.”
He further added, “I had strong faith in Allah. I didn’t believe in the gossip and kept trusting His power. One day, a financier came to the studio and gave me 5 crore for my upcoming film. Can you believe it? Allahu Akbar! I made the film, and it became a super hit. After that, I didn’t give tickets to those who used to gossip about me.”
