Jia Ali is a renowned Pakistani former TV and film actress and model who made her acting debut with the hit Pakistani film Deewane Tere Piyar Kay alongside Moammar Rana. She is also known for her dramas like Band Khirkyon Kay Peechay, Hum Tehray Gunahgaar, Pukaar, Kabhi Kabhi Pyar Mein, Meer Abroo, and others. Some of her other notable film appearances include Ghar Kab Aao Gay, Love Mein Ghum, and Saya-e-Khuda-e-Zuljalal. Jia left showbiz at the peak of her career. In 2021, she got married to businessman Imran Idrees, and it has been five years since their marriage.
Jia Ali recently appeared on Zabardast with Wasil Shah. In the show, she opened up about taking a massive amount for her debut film Deewane Tere Pyar Kay.
To the question, “We have heard that you charged one Crore rupees for you debut film Deewane Tere Pyar Kay, is that true?” Jia Ali replied, “Deewane Tere Pyar Ke was my first film, released in 1997. It was with Muammar Rana. I didn’t take a full one crore, but I was still the most expensive actress of that time. We went to another country for the shoot, and I had my own team with me, including my brother and photographer, Munna Mushtaq, his friend, and Alia Imam. All of their travel and expenses were included in my budget. So, I received more than 50 lakh rupees from the producer back in 1997. It happened because I had clothes, choreographer, and everything of my own choice. Also, I wasn’t very keen to do the movie. I already had almost left the modelling in my mind. I gave a tough time to the makers. I was also offered Jeeva previously when I was a model. At that time I refused because of my family restrictions.
