Dar e Nijaat is a hit ARY Digital drama series written by Umera Ahmed and directed by Saqib Khan. Produced under 3’S Entertainment the show stars Sheheryar Munawar, Dur-e-Fishan Saleem, and Nameer Khan in key roles. The story focuses on Zaryab, Zamil, and Abu Bakar. Nameer Khan is playing a negative character in the show which sparked a huge online debate.

Recently, Nameer Khan gave an interview to Bilal Hassan on Instagram where he opened up about Zamil’s character and warned society of such a mindset.

He said, “Zamil is a mindset which I have been observing ever since I was a child. Even when I used to sit with such people, I used to question myself about how they allow themselves to discuss women like this, how they objectify women. The core issue with Zamil is his identity crisis. He has gotten everything without effort; he got money, a beautiful girl, education, and travel for free. So, when he came across Abubakar, he realized his real crisis was faith. Then he started practicing faith, but there he started a competition, started rating others’ faith, and thinking of himself as a superior Muslim. It’s an absurd mindset where he questioned Zaryab’s character after becoming faithful and thought she made him corrupt. I feel sorry for such men who blame women for their sins. I think nurturing starts from childhood; choosing the right group of friends and parents’ guidance are important, but things deteriorate when he joins the wrong company. Parenting has evolved but still needs improvement in societies like the subcontinent. Empathy is the basic emotion that is lacking here.” Watch here:
