Kanwal Aftab is a well-known Pakistani social media influencer with millions of followers across all digital platforms. Earlier this year, she performed Hajj alongside her husband, Zulqarnain Sikandar, in May 2026. Following the pilgrimage, Kanwal began covering her head and wearing modest attire. In addition to this change, she has undergone a significant physical transformation, moving from a plus-size to a smaller frame.
Recently, Kanwal Aftab published a video on her social media accounts expressing frustration with high-end Pakistani clothing brands for making revealing cuts a standard norm.
Kanwal Aftab said, “To all the brand owners: please listen to me. You should think about people like us, especially when making these revealing and skimpy clothes. Please make some full-length clothes so that we can wear them too. Whenever I go to any brand, they say, “Dear, customization won’t be possible.” Even though I’ve lost weight now, they still say customization is not possible. They claim that sleeves can’t be added, the back can’t be extended, and this or that can’t be done. Honestly, this trend of revealing clothes is becoming the norm, and it is frustrating. People just say, “You are an influencer, so you can wear such clothes.” Whoever I am, I don’t wear clothes like that. Honestly, I am furious about this. I have seen hundreds of brands, I swear to God. I am so disappointed. Even if I don’t take a dupatta, or if I don’t wear a dupatta properly, my demands as a customer should still be considered by the brand. Every brand asks, “Who wears those anymore?” Every kind of market should be accommodated. Everyone should be able to wear standard Pakistani clothes. Anyways, Pakistan is not the same Pakistan anymore. I mean, Pakistan is becoming a bit of a danger zone, so please, cater to every type of customer.” Watch here:
