Afzaal Ahmad is counted among the biggest film stars of Pakistan from yesteryears. He played a variety of characters in a variety of films. He was a well-known actor who would lead the films and do a variety of roles impressing the audience every time. Afzaal Ahmad also established the Tamaseel theater in Lahore as he always felt that theater in Pakistan was not flourishing in the way it should have.
Afzaal Ahmad went through a very difficult time in his personal life. His wife was from London and she left along with his daughters to live there over twenty years ago. She wanted him to live there but he only wanted to stay in Pakistan. He has been paralyzed for the last 22 years before he died due to a sudden brain hemorrhage.
