Salman Saqib Sheikh, also known as Mani, is a versatile Pakistani artist known for his multiple hit projects, including Sab Set Hai, Yaqeen Ka Safar, Chupke Chupke, Tere Mere Sapne, Money Back Guarantee, Azfar Mani Show, and others. Mani’s father, Saqib Sheikh, was a renowned PTV artist and producer. His siblings, Ayesha and Hassan, also served in the media industry, but unfortunately, his younger brother Hassan passed away due to cancer. He was a promising director with a hit project like Mr. Shamim.
Recently, Mani appeared in the podcast Excuse Me with Ahmed Ali Butt. Mani talked about his brother’s tragic and untimely demise.
Talking about it, he said, “It was a great loss for us; it happened so suddenly. I know you were close to him and that you remember him. You all were great friends of Hassan, and I know you miss him a lot. We still haven’t fully accepted his loss. We were in disbelief when he passed. Of course, our father was at a certain age, but Hassan’s untimely death shattered us. You have seen our family — we made every effort to save him. When I took his scan to Shaukat Khanum, they said, ‘There’s bad news; this is a rare cancer that occurs in one in millions.’
He further added, “My son Muzammil looks exactly like him and has all his qualities. He was also Hassan’s favorite. He’s into direction, just like Hassan was. I see Hassan in Muzammil.” Here is the link to the video:
