She also comes from a well-known journalistic family. Her parents are renowned journalists and television personalities, while her brother, Ali Sethi, is a celebrated singer. Mira Sethi married Bilal Siddiqui in California in November 2019 after being in a long-term relationship. Last year, she publicly announced their divorce.

Recently, Mira Sethi appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast Excuse Me, where she opened up about the lessons she learned from her divorce and also reflected on her decision to get married.

Talking about it, she said, “The first thing I learned from divorce was: don’t listen to your gut, and don’t shape-shift for anyone, whether it’s your husband, your friends, your male boss, or anyone else. People really like it when you shape-shift for them, but it’s not a good thing. These are my two biggest takeaways. I had fun, I grew a lot, and I became more mature. It’s good that I can say this now because it’s been years since my divorce, and I’ve moved on. People often have objections when a woman doesn’t adjust. They say, ‘Kurri adjust nahi kar saki.’ I had no societal pressure to get married. I got married later than what society considers the normal age. It was completely my own decision, based on idealism and affection. I have no one to blame but myself.” Watch the video here.
