Mira Sethi recently appeared in a public talk and she has revealed an unknown fact about Main Manto Nahi Hoon. She has worked with director Nadeem Baig in Kuch Ankahi before this. She revealed that she was offered a character in this drama but she rejected it. She also revealed her reasons for rejecting it.
Mira Sethi revealed that she was offered to play the role of Miss Maria in the drama. The character was later played by Sanam Saeed. She added that this was a tempting offer as she would get to work with Humayun Saeed and Sajal Aly. She is also very fond of Sajal who played her sister in Kuch Ankahi. Her very progressive friends also pushed her to sign it. But Mira Sethi rejected it as she does not align with the writer Khalil ur Rehman Qamar’s views on women. She said how can she advocate for feminism and then go on to sign a KRQ drama. Thus she left the offer.
