Momina Iqbal is currently involved in a controversy related to her personal life, as she has been pursuing ongoing harassment cases against her ex, former PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar.
Recently, Momina Iqbal appeared on Rehan Tariq’s podcast. During the podcast, she revealed how Saqib Chadhar allegedly treats the women in his family. She also claimed that she helped groom his personality and appearance before elections.
Talking about how he allegedly treats the women in his family, Momina Iqbal said, “I filed a case for harassment, blackmailing, cyberbullying, and death threats, but none of these allegations were addressed in court. Rather, they brought other things up, like close relationships and other stuff. It happens because they speak from their family’s regressive mindset. It is normal in your family to beat women with belts, tear their hair, and throw them against walls, so you will project the same mindset outside. The audience is intelligent; they know whom I referred to. In their family, it is a norm. He has seen this environment, so he thinks he has a right over women. Had I been in a relationship with him, he might have thought he was justified in doing whatever he wanted, but I am not in a relationship with him. Rejection means rejection, even if the girl leaves you a day before the Nikah. And, according to him, I was not in contact with him since last 8 months, so why bring such things up? I have been in trauma for four years.”
She further added, “Just when his political campaign started, I helped him, got his shoots done, and did his grooming. If you see him from 2017 until now, you will find an evident change in his looks. It was during the election that his kidney scandal was exposed. After that, my father called off our relationship, after which all the blame game between us started. Then he threatened me, saying, ‘You are allowed to be murdered.’ Before that, he was telling me about his feudal system. After the kidney trafficking scandal, things never went back to normal between us because I wanted to move on.”
