Syed Mohsin Gillani is a veteran Pakistani artist who has appeared in many hit PTV dramas. His notable Pakistani dramas include Aik Pal, Hum Thehrey Gunahgar, Umme Ayesha, Shehr-e-Ajnabi, Ghughi, Faasiq, and Rang Mahal. The senior actor is quite a vocal Pakistani celebrity who often appears on television and digital shows and podcasts, where he expresses his opinions on a wide range of topics.
Mohsin shares a great camaraderie with his colleagues from the industry. In one of his recent interviews, he revealed that he shared a close friendship with Asma Abbas when they worked together in theatre, before her marriage.
Talking to Voice of Click Me Pakistan, he said, “Asma Abbas is a very close friend of mine, and she had been my friend for a long time, even before her marriage. I was a theatre director, and she was my artist. After that, she got married and, I believe, also left the entertainment industry. She is a very kind person. When she restarted working, I cast her in the drama series Chunri. At that time, I gave her one piece of advice, which might still be painful for her, but I told her, ‘Delete Bushra Ansari from you and start acting like Asma Abbas,’ because whenever she used to act, she felt like Bushra. Asma didn’t like my advice, and she expressed that to me as well. But today, you can see where Asma Abbas stands in the acting industry; she has made a name for herself. However, if you ask me to choose between the two, then, without a doubt, the kind of work Bushra Ansari has done, whether in Studio 2.5, Loose Talk, or any other show, has no match.” Watch here:
